Which Open Access topics would you like to discuss with other experts?

Digital focus groups offer a low-threshold opportunity to discuss current developments and challenges in the field of Open Access. They also open the floor for exchanging views on specific aspects of the Open Access transformation.

In order to promote networking and exchange within the Open Access community, the open-access.network project will set up at least ten digital focus groups.

The focus groups will

  • attend to current issues
  • offer a protected space for intensive exchange
  • work together independently of time and place
  • additionally meet in regular video conferences
  • be open to other interested parties.

The project provides

  • a video conference room for each group
  • a collaboration platform based on wiki software
  • a forum for direct and rapid exchange.

In addition, the focus groups are supported by

  • a project staff member. He or she will assist with regards to organisational matters, moderation and documentation as well as regarding the dissemination of the results.

The focus groups initiated within the framework of open-access.network are listed on the project website. We aim at the groups' continued existence beyond the project duration.

If you are interested in setting up a digital focus group, you are always welcome to send us an e-mail at info(at)open-access.network. We will be delighted to support you!
