The oa.hub offers a range of networking opportunities for registered projects. We provide a framework for community building in the form of (online) workshops:
Here, project members can exchange ideas, discuss relevant topics and benefit from synergies.
Networking workshop "Communication with the target group"
30 April 2025 (Wednesday)
10.00 - 12.00 a.m.
Online (zoom)
Anyone working in open access projects and offering services or tools communicates across disciplinary and departmental boundaries, via different channels and with different goals and target groups. Detailed communication planning can help to ensure that the target group can utilise the project offer efficiently and effectively.
What experience do you have in addressing target groups?
What tools have you used to achieve good results and what challenges would you like to discuss with colleagues from other OA projects?
→ The workshop begins with an input from Katja Wermbter (TU Braunschweig, Department of IT and Research-related Services, NFDI4Ing and coordinator of the digital communication focus group) on the topic of communication on Open Access - with whom, how and for what purpose?
→ Afterwards, an interactive format provides the framework for collaboratively specifying your target group(s) and exchanging ideas on promising communication channels and formats.
- Target group of the workshop: The workshop is aimed at all employees and managers of OA projects.
- Aim: The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with insights into the basics of target group-specific communication and to give them the opportunity to work collaboratively on specific challenges. Participants should benefit from the knowledge and experience of their peers in a low-threshold manner.
- Agenda: Presentation by Katja Wermbter followed by an interactive exchange format
- Registration: The workshop is limited to 25 participants. Registration is possible until Monday, 28 April, using the form below.
- You are welcome to enter (anonymous) information on the target group of your service/offer on this padlet in advance.
We look forward to a lively and constructive exchange!
