Q&A Session: Asking Peter Suber about Open Access

Veröffentlicht am

For several decades, Peter Suber (https://cyber.harvard.edu/~psuber/wiki/Peter_Suber) has been shaping and accompanying OA developments. He is one of the authors of the 2002 Budapest Declaration, a key event in the OA movement. Suber is director of the Harvard Office for Scholarly Communication and the Harvard Open Access Project, and a senior researcher at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. He follows and shapes the OA discussion through his writings, talks (https://cyber.harvard.edu/~psuber/wiki/Writings_on_open_access), and almost daily posts on Twitter (https://twitter.com/petersuber).

At the Open Access Days 2021, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, starting at 4 p.m., all interested parties now have the unique opportunity to discuss Open Access online with Peter Suber in a moderated Q&A session: from the successes and expectations of the past to the challenges of the present and future.

We would very much like to invite everyone to join the session with your burning questions.

Please write down your questions and thoughts in advance (in German and/or English) on the session's Miro board: https://kurzelinks.de/OAT21-QASuber by September 24, please, so that we can consider them. Alternatively, get in touch live during the Q&A session via the chat with comments and further questions. Depending on your preference, feel free to include your name and institution so that you can be referenced in the session.

The session itself will be in English. The event is free of charge. Registration is not required.

With around 400 participants*, the Open Access Days are the annual central platform for the ever-growing Open Access and Open Science community from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held in a digital format.
