Booking an appointment for individual open access advice

Since July 2020, the BMBF-funded project open-access.network has been offering a Helpdesk for individual advice on OA-related issues. The free service has now been expanded to include an additional appointment booking service. Appointments for a consultation by telephone or video call can now also be booked in advance. The first consultation appointments can be selected in April on Wednesdays between 10 am and 4 pm. A link to book an appointment can be found on the Helpdesk page: https://open-access.network/en/services/help-desk#c5828. Open access counselling by the Helpdesk via e-mail and during the open telephone consultation hours is still possible without booking an appointment.

Get a customised consultation with a new appointment booking form

Interested parties can use a booking form to select and register for a consultation appointment at the open-access.network Helpdesk in advance. They will then be contacted by the counselling team, who will ask for feedback on whether counselling by telephone or video call is desired. For the counselling session, the Helpdesk staff will then call at the requested time or provide a link for a video call. The new service will be available in a pilot phase in April 2023. "With the new appointment booking service, we want to meet the high demand for individual advice on OA even better," explains Andreas Kirchner, project coordinator of open-access.network. "For many interested parties, it is important to be able to plan appointments so that they can be integrated into their everyday working lives. At the same time, it helps the advisory team to coordinate the talks and to plan the time for a custom-fit and comprehensive advisory service."
