Barcamps

Barcamps

With our barcamps, we offer interested members of the Open Access community the opportunity to get into interaction with others, to network, and to learn from each other. In comparison to traditional conferences, the barcamp format is more open and does not have a predefined program. Instead, participants can propose topics or hold sessions themselves and thus discuss the issues that they are interested in. All topics related to Open Access are welcome.

Our first Open Access Barcamp will take place online from 22 and 23 April 2021. From 9:00 am to 2:30 pm each day, participants themselves will create a varied program and discuss Open Access topics. For example, the implementation of DEAL contracts, the persistence of publication funds, Open Access monographs, or Open Access in specific disciplines and in the arts could be addressed. The barcamp is organized by the Communication, Information, Media Centre (KIM) of the University of Konstanz as part of the open-access.network project.

Interested persons can register using the following form. The event will mainly be held in german. If you register with your address before 19 March 2021, you can expect a little Barcamp Survival Surprise!

The registration is closed.
