Welcome to the oa.blog!

This blog offers a space for reports, information, discussions, and comments from the open access community for the open access community in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

open-access.network sees itself as a central competence and networking portal on open access in Germany. On our Information pages you will find a wide range of information on relevant topics concerning open access – from A as in APC to Z as in Zweitveröffentlichung  (self-archiving). And on our News pages, we keep you up to date on current developments. However, the transition to open access is so dynamic that we are not always able to capture it in the desired diversity in the formats offered up to now – for example when developments spark controversial discussions or are a work in progress.

We have therefore created the oa.blog, which will offer a space for (different) opinions; for exchange; and for workshop reports, interviews, controversies, and unusual formats. So active participation is expressly welcome!

The blog aims to be a place where the open access community can exchange views in an open and constructive way.

Would you like to be part of the oa.blog? If so, we look forward to your contributions!
