Ulrich Herb is a German information scientist and sociologist who has worked at the Saarland University and State Library (SULB) since 2001, initially as a project manager and open access expert. He has been head of the Publication and Research Support Department since 2020 and has been coordinator of the Saarland Open Access Networking Centre since 2024. He also works as a freelance consultant in the field of ScholComm.
