Wiley signs open access agreement in Turkey

Science publisher Wiley has signed a three-year open access agreement with the Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM). The agreement is the first of its kind in Turkey and includes all Turkish universities. They can read and publish in Wiley's entire portfolio of hybrid and gold open access journals. TÜBİTAK is committed to supporting the open science and open access movement, according to Director Mehmet Mirat Satoglu. "These steps help align the Turkish and European research spaces and increase the visibility and impact of our scientific publications," Satoglu says.

Wiley says it has already signed more than 60 OA agreements around the globe, most recently in Canada, Hong Kong and the Czech Republic.
