Pedocs, the subject-based document server of the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF) is keen to establish cooperative relationships with publishers and has been conducting intensive discussions with various publishing houses to this end. In addition to Barbara Budrich Publishers, the publishers Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, including its subsidiary V&R unipress, have now agreed to enter into cooperation with pedocs. The Georg Eckert Institute series "Eckert. The Series. Studies on International Educational Media Research", which is published by V&R unipress, is gradually to be made openly accessible.

During the 60th Frankfurt Book Fair in September 2008, scientists, scholars, representatives of publishing houses and DIPF met at the fair's Science Forum to discuss the role which cooperation with publishing houses plays for pedocs.
