Hosted by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the next global summit of the Global Research Council (GRC), an informal organisation comprising the heads of research councils from all over the world, will take place in Berlin from 27 to 29 May 2013. The main focus of the three-day summit will be on the endorsement of a joint Statement of Principles for Research Integrity and an Action Plan on Open Access featuring proposals for the coordinated implementation of Open Access to scientific publications.
A press conference will be held at the end of the summit on Wednesday, 29 May 2013 at 12:00 noon. The press conference will also be streamed live online at http://www.dfg.de, and media representatives will be given the opportunity to submit questions to the participants by e-mail.
