With an OER policy, universities can set an example for openness and structurally anchor the promotion of Open Eductational Resources (OER). The development process for such a policy is as varied and diverse as the university landscape itself. A working group consisting of twillo, the ORCA.nrw network and HAWK Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen has now published an OER Policy Kit to provide guidance on the path to an OER guideline. It is intended to provide general orientation, specific tips and examples as well as helpful materials in the form of a guideline for action. The interactive guide is based on the experiences of universities that have already published an OER policy or are in the process of developing one.
