The European collaborative project Open Access Publishing in European Networks (OAPEN) will officially launch the OAPEN Library on 6 October at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The OAPEN Library is being built up as a joint collection of digital, peer-reviewed monographs from the humanities and the social sciences. All content is openly accessible. The OAPEN consortium currently comprises seven university presses and two universities from a number of European countries. It is open to new partners, especially scholarly publishers and university presses with an affinity for Open Access.
Detailed information on the project and a contact address for those who wish to attend the launch can be found on the OAPEN website. Stefan Buddenbohm (Lower Saxony State and University Library, Göttingen) is also happy to answer any questions you may have.
