From 6 - 8 September 2009, the Swiss Institute of Information Science in Chur will be running a conference on the subject of Knowledge theft: ignorance, lack of information literacy or a paradigm shift? Current challenges for libraries and their partners in the scholarly communication process.

  • researchers in the fields covered by the conference
  • e-learning and software specialists (specialising, for example, in literature-management and plagiarism-detection software)
  • interested teachers at all educational levels
  • university managers, administrators and legal services
  • scientific and scholarly book and journal publishers
  • scientific associations, scholarly societies and academies

Information on the conference can be obtained on the conference homepage.

The Call for Papers and further background information can be found here. The closing date for submission is 15 March 2009.
