Input is needed from the fields of Open Science and Open Innovation. The aim of this participation format is to involve practitioners and experts at an early stage and to include their experience, knowledge and ideas in the consulting process. The consultation process will run until 31 May 2020, after which the results will be evaluated by the topic team in the High-Tech Forum and incorporated into the consultation process.

The High-Tech Forum is the German government's central advisory body for the implementation of the High-Tech Strategie 2025, whose task is to support the government's innovation policy with tangible recommendations for implementation and procedures. The consultations on the priority topic "Open Science and Innovation" will begin with an online consultation. The online consultation is being conducted in cooperation with the Stifterverband's Forum offene Innovationskultur innOsci (Open Innovation Culture innOsci). The spokesperson of the topic team "Open Science and Innovation" in the High-tech Forum is Prof. Dr Dr Andreas Barner, President of the Stifterverband.
