In order to promote the Open Access idea in the sciences even further, six Helmholtz Research Centres have signed an agreement with the Open Access publisher Copernicus Publications whereby article-processing charges incurred by authors affiliated to the centres will be settled directly between Copernicus Publications and the Helmholtz Association. This will make it easier for these authors to publish their works through open access channels. The full text of the press release can be found here.
