For the first time, an article on international Open Access Week, which starts on 19 October, has appeared on the Goethe Institute's website. The author quotes Johannes Fournier of the German Research Foundation (DFG), who formulates the goal of Open Access week as follows: "The individual institutions at local level are the best places to stimulate a discussion about Open Access. In this way, scientists and scholars can be addressed directly in their research environment."
