On 8 January 2010, the German Research Foundation (DFG) announced its first funding programme for research data management projects. With this call for proposals, which which was issued within the framework of its funding programme Scientific Library Services and Information Systems (LIS), the DFG wishes to support projects on the development and optimisation of information infrastructures that are aimed at the efficient and sustainable management of research data.
The projects can be in the following categories:
- Creation and development of information infrastructures for the backup, storage and reuse of research data in accordance with discipline-specific requirements
- Professionalisation and expansion of existing research data repositories or information infrastructures specialised in research data.
Applications must be submitted by 28 April 2010.
