Open-Access-Tage 2022: Collaboration - Call for proposals

Veröffentlicht am

The committee of the Open-Access-Tage 2022 has announced this year's title of the largest open access conference in the German-speaking world: Collaboration. With its programme, the event takes a look at current developments in the publication system, which are leading to more openness and thus to an increase in the number of actors and interests involved, as well as technologies, etc., not least through open access (OA). One of the current challenges for a productive OA publishing culture is therefore to analyse how these actors and interests interact and how they can be included and taken into account.

Proposals for workshops and talks can be submitted from now until 11 April, posters and sessions in the Tool Marketplace until 4 July 2022. The contributions at the Open-Access-Tage should address the following questions: Which collaborations are desirable? What positive and negative experiences have been made? How should collaborations be designed in the sense of open access and open science? Do collaborations change the institutions in which we work? Which collaborations are particularly valuable strategically? Which ones should we strive for? What forms of collaboration exist?

The following dimensions of collaboration are particularly important to the programme committee at the Open-Access-Tage 2022:

  • Collaboration among people: different languages, assessments, prerequisites, competences, interests and values
  • Collaboration between machines: Interoperability, services, infrastructures, exchange of (meta-)data, dashboards
  • Collaborative structures and mechanisms: different institutions, cultures, processes, goals and requirements.

Submissions on other OA topics are of course also possible.

The Open-Access-Tage will take place from 19 to 21 September 2022 on the Gurten in Bern and will be hosted by the University Library of Bern. Further information can be found here: https://open-access-days.de/en/open-access-days-2022-bern/call-for-proposals
