The Open Access community will meet on March 26 and 27, 2025 at the University Library Duisburg-Essen: Registration for the Open Access Barcamp 2025 is now open at the following link: https://open-access.network/en/networking/barcamps. Participation in the event is free of charge, but participants must cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
The participants determine the program
The Barcamp format offers an open and interactive platform for anyone interested in Open Access. In contrast to traditional conferences, there is no predetermined program - the participants actively shape the event by suggesting topics and leading sessions. This means that the focus is on the most relevant content for the community. In addition to content sessions, there will also be program items for networking.
Who is organizing Barcamp 2025?
The Barcamp is being organized as part of the open-access.network project by employees of the Communication, Information, Media Center (KIM) at the University of Konstanz and Landesinititative openaccess.nrw. open-access.network is a joint project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), while openaccess.nrw is a project of the Digitale Hochschule NRW (DH.NRW) funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) in North Rhine-Westphalia.
