Veröffentlicht am

According to a press release issued by the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) on 23 February, its Call for free access to digital images has been greatly welcomed by scholars and scientists.

In January, the MPIWG, which is one of the initiators of the Open Access movement, called for the creation of a network of mutual trust and cooperation between scholars and curators of cultural heritage collections with a view to facilitating access to and the scholarly use of visual media.

Reactions to this call are now openly accessible in a discussion forum on MPIWG's website.
