Bibliometric and Semantic Open Access Recommender Network

How do I find quality-assured OA journals for my subject area? To help authors find suitable and quality-assured OA journals, the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) is developing a recommender service together with the Sächsische Landesbibliothek – Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden (SLUB). This recommender system will filter a selection from the large quantity of available OA journals, which can be sorted according to various criteria. Methodically, the process is based on established bibliometric and semantic machine learning techniques that determine the similarity of manuscripts to previously published papers via user input (abstract, references). Beyond the collaboration with DOAJ and OpenCitations, scientific institutions and libraries are actively involved in the project work.
